Environment
Reviving Land. Conserving Water. Sustaining Lives.
In the heart of Beed district, chronic water scarcity and erratic rainfall threaten the very foundation of rural life. JVSS is leading a community-driven landscape restoration effort to heal the soil and bring life back to our rivers.
In the drought-prone region of Beed district, Maharashtra, access to water is a daily struggle.JVSS works to restore natural resources through large scale soil and water conservation, ensuring long-term sustainability for communities and agriculture.
JVSS employs a comprehensive community-driven Natural Resource Management (NRM) approach. We believe that by empowering local communities with both traditional wisdom and scientific watershed planning, we can reverse environmental degradation and build climate-resilient livelihoods.

What We Do
Water Resource Restoration
Deepening and widening of rivers and nalas Restoration of natural drainage systems Increased water storage and groundwater recharge
Landscape-Level Impact
Improved soil moisture retention Reduced soil erosion and land degradation Enhanced groundwater recharge Increased cultivable land and agricultural productivity
Afforestation & Plantation
Large-scale plantation drives across the region Distribution of 1 lakh custard apple seeds Promotion of drought-resilient species These efforts contribute to: Improved green cover Soil stabilization Additional livelihood opportunities for farmers
Soil & Water Conservation
Treating over 500 hectares of land with Continuous Contour Trenches (CCT), Loose Boulder Structures (LBS), and Stone Bunding to halt erosion.
Water Resource Restoration
Deepening and widening of rivers and local streams to increase storage capacity and facilitate massive groundwater recharge.
Afforestation
Planting over 1 lakh custard apple seeds and other drought-resilient species to restore the local green cover and provide fruit-based income.
