Health of Female Sugarcane Cutters

Caring for the hands that harvest: Prioritizing the health and well-being of female sugarcane cutters.

Bringing Every Child Back to School

In Beed district, seasonal migration for sugarcane cutting disrupts the educationof thousands of children. JVSSworks to ensure that every child—regardless of background or geography has access to continuous, qualityeducation.

Over 50% of families in Beed migrate seasonally, forcing children to drop out of school for 6–7 months each year.  Many eventually enter the labor force at an early age Children from Nomadic and Denotified Tribes (NT/DNT) face additional barriers, as they live in remote settlements without access to basic educational facilities. JVSS addresses these challenges through a multi-layered approach, focusing on access, retention, and quality of education.
