About Us
Janvikas Samajik Sanstha is a grassroots NGO committed to transforming lives across rural, tribal, and underserved communities of Maharashtra. For over three decades, Janvikas has worked with communities to create pathways of dignity and opportunity through initiatives in education, health, livelihoods, agriculture, natural resource management, disaster response, and women’s empowerment.Together with like-minded partners, Janvikas continues to work toward a future where equity and empowerment are realities for all.
From disaster relief during earthquakes, floods, and droughts to COVID-19 community kitchens, Janvikas has always stood at the forefront of humanitarian response. Housing, sanitation, and renewable energy initiatives further reflect its commitment to dignity and sustainability.Today, Janvikas is more than an NGO, it is a people’s movement. Rooted in compassion and resilience, it continues to inspire inclusive growth and lasting change, carrying forward a legacy of 30+ years of service and justice.

Ghodekhur village in Kej Taluka of Beed district, Maharashtra, has a population of 263 and is primarily inhabited by families from the historically marginalized Gopal community.
Nimundra village in Kej Taluka of Beed district, Maharashtra, with a population of 652, is located in a remote hilly belt where basic infrastructure and livelihood opportunities are limited.
